WARRINGTON Wolves owner and promoter Simon Moran has been named the ninth most powerful man in music.
Managing director of SJM Concerts, he made the top 10 of the Music Power 100 - the first list of the most influential people in music, produced by the Guardian newspaper.
He is currently promoting Take That’s summer tour which has already sold 1.8million tickets.
His company co-owns V festival and T in the Park, and puts on around 2,000 concerts a year, and he also runs a management company, whose clients include the Script, and is a director of the Academy Music Group of venues.
And he is also a shareholder in a joint venture label with Gary Barlow.
As owner of the Wolves, he has seen the team rise to top of the Super League and win back-to-back Challenge Cup crowns.
