FINDINGS from the excavation at Slitten Gorge will be presented on Monday, July 25.
Archaeologist Ian Miller, who conducted the dig at the old iron-slitting mill at Slitten Gorge, will give a presentation in the village hall on Pepper Street at 7.30pm on the history of the mill, his recent excavation and the proposals for the mill's preservation.
His presentation on the findings will be accompanied by a talk by Lymm historian Joe Griffiths.
Mr Griffiths will talk about what the mill was used for and how it affected the village.
And there will be a chance to view some historical documents from the mill's operational life.
Mr Miller's presentation will go into detail about the workings of the mill, and its relevance to life today.
He will also present photographs from the excavation.
Everyone is welcome to attend and entrance on the night is free.
