PLANS to launch a new community theatre providing affordable and accessible performances are taking shape.
Art lovers in Warrington are planning to launch a theatre group within a community theatre by transforming a building into a performance venue.
The aim is to encourage community participation, advance theatre education and provide a facility where people can access performances.
A spokesman for the group said: "Monies are still being sought as the venue is at the early stages of being transformed into the theatre this town craves for.
"We would like to hear from people or companies that are interested in using such a venue.
"We would also like to know from theatregoers what type of performances they would like to see on this stage."
