A GROUP providing playschemes in the school holidays is looking for volunteers to help children with severe learning disabilities.
Warrington Association for Special Children runs the sessions, for youngsters aged five to 19, in Orford, Penketh, Birchwood and Stockton Heath.
Co-ordinator Debbie Holding said: "We need volunteers aged 15 plus to work alongside our playscheme staff to help the children join in a wide range of activities and outings such as art and craft, indoor games, baking, music and story telling.
"Without enough volunteers we cannot provide a full range of programmes for the children and will have to cancel our days out which the children so look forward to."
The association is looking for volunteers who are caring, enthusiastic, reliable, sensible, willing to act on play leaders instructions and most importantly love playing with kids.
Playschemes start on Monday, August 1 for four weeks, four times a week from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Volunteers do not have to commit to every week or day and will be given training, for more information please contact Ms Holding on 262860.
