Sir Tom Jones has apparently revealed he'd love to duet with Duffy.
The 68-year-old singing legend believes the 24-year-old pop singer, from his home country of Wales, has "something special", reports the Daily Express.
Tom is quoted as saying: "That's because she's Welsh and she can sing, not just because she's Welsh. I'd like to do something with her."
A music insider said: "She'd be great alongside Tom. He is the king of reinvention and she's very much the girl of the moment.
"Both have incredible voices, both are Welsh - it's a match made in heaven."
In the past, the What's New Pussy Cat singer has dueted with fellow Welsh singers Cerys Matthews of Catatonia, James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers and Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics.
A spokeswoman for Mercy singer Duffy reportedly said: "She has not been approached yet."
