Try scorers go head to head
Kevin Penny
Kevin Penny

KEVIN Penny could face an intriguing tussle with Ade Gardner if both are chosen to face each other during Wolves' Challenge Cup tie with St Helens on Saturday.

Wolves left winger Penny and Saints right winger Gardner have gone head to head on two previous occasions this season, with several tries being scored.

The duo are currently tied on four tries each in this year's tussles between the two clubs and Wolves boss Paul Cullen said: "They have both scored a lot of tries and they have both conceded a lot of tries.

"Obviously Ade Gardner has some advantages - his weight, his age and his experience.

"Kevin's looking forward to producing his best form."

Thats true but whats worrying is that Cullen has identified both have conceded lots of tries - defensively this needs to be sorted out asap as alot of the teams in the superleague know this and target our left flank. Why dont we start with Johnson on the wing to sort out the defensive side and then rotate with Penny to offer more speed when the saints players are tired later in the game. I would have thought that would work to our advantage and finally give us a win against saints.

lets hope Matt King helps out in defence, and passes the ball to Kevin, on offence. If all players are up for this game, and play for each other, then we can and should win this game. It is crucial that all seventeen turn up on the day and play for the full eighty minutes. COME ON THE WIRE!!!! Good LUCK guys.

I agree with Mark from Warrington. Start Johnson on wing with Matt King bring Penny on later when opposition is tired.
Good Luck the Wire!
