Grix scores in reserve defeat

SIMON Grix was a try scorer as Wolves' reserve team were beaten 28-26 at St Helens on Tuesday night.

Grix was making his first appearance since suffering an ankle injury as a result of being knocked unconscious by a high tackle from Stanley Gene in a Super League match at Hull KR in February.

Antony Jerram crossed for two tries with further tries coming from Mike Johnson and Danny Colquitt, while Chris Riley kicked three goals.

Wolves: Chris Riley; Yaad Johal, Matty Blythe, Antony Jerram, Taylor Welch; Simon Grix, Craig White; Adam Neal, Mike Johnson, Mike Cooper, Lee Mitchell, Danny Colquitt, Tyrone McCarthy. Subs: Craig Cornelia, Dave Saxon, Anthony Rourke, Josh Cullen.

Glad to see Simon Grix back playing, he's been very unlucky with injuries and I hope this can be the turning point for him. He's a very influential player when he gets game time, the game which stands out to me is the miserable affair at Craven Park in the CC a couple of years ago, when he came on we looked like a totally different team, unfortunately it was too late!! COME ON GRIXY!!!
