WARRINGTON Cricket Club's good start to the season was halted as they had to hang on to a draw at Didsbury in Cheshire County Cricket League Division One.
Warrington had won their first two matches of the campaign but could not stop Didsbury making 210 for 4 in their innings despite figures of 2 for 49 from captain Steve Heydon.
Warrington then got off to a shaky start in reply but James Hughes made 73 as they held out on 147 for 7.
Warrington's second team also drew at home to Middlewich, who made 213 for 6 despite 4 for 46 from Tez Balmer.
Mal Gwatkin made 30 and Simon Patterson amassed 45 not out as Warrington ended their innings on 118 for 7.
The third team secured a four-run victory against Neston's thirds in one of the most exciting games played at Walton Lea in many years.
James Waldron's brilliant innings of 48 helped Warrington set a target of 151 but Neston needed only five runs to win going into the final over.
The visitors also had four wickets left but three run outs were followed by a Wes Charlton wicket as Warrington dismissed Neston for 147 with one ball remaining.
Warrington's fourth team draw at Neston's fourths, who made 221 for 4 before reducing the hosts to 86 for 8.
Juniors J Mitchell and A Jardine then dug in with 46 not out and 28 not out respectively as Warrington finished on 142 for 8.
