ALSAGER Bridgestone swimmers made a major splash at a North West regions gala at the weekend.
The club was represented by Gary Johnson, Steve Owen and James Owen, and the gala took place at the new 50-metre Picton pool in Liverpool.
Gary won the 50m butterfly in a new club record time of 29.95, with Steve in third in 28.03.
James came eighth in the men's 15 to 16 age group, and made the finals with a time of 29.32.
Gary came third in the men's 100m butterfly in a time of 1.01, and James earned another final place in the 15 to 16 50m freestyle.
Steve took silver in the men's 50m breaststroke, and Steve and Gary came fourth and fifth in the men's open 50m freestyle.
The club was delighted with its medal haul of one gold, one silver and two bronze.
"What these swimmers have achieved is phenomenal," said head coach Mick Barnes.
"They should be honoured to be at the regionals, and have made a massive name for themselves."
