OLYMPIC hopeful Richard Egington is expected to row for Great Britain in the men's eight at the World Cup in Munich this weekend.
The 29-year-old former Lymm High School pupil, who is a product of Warrington Rowing Club but now competes for Leander Rowing Club in Henley, was part of the eight that took the bronze medal for Great Britain at last year's World Championships.
Egington is likely to retain his place in the crew for the weekend event in Germany, with World Cup crews thought to be a good indicator of possible final selections for the Olympic Games in Beijing in August.
Olympic rowing legend Steve Redgrave has suggested that the men's eight may be in contention to win the gold medal in Beijing.
