THREE tries in the Challenge Cup final changes everything for Warrington Wolves’ leading scorer Chris Hicks.

He went into Saturday’s showdown with the most memorable try of his career being the match winner against Wigan in last year’s semi- final.

“The ones at Wembley are probably the most important ones now,” said the 33-year-old Australian winger.

“To do it in a final was great but the main thing was to get the medal again as that’s a prize possession.”

And the third try meant a great deal to him for other reasons, too.

“I had a couple of my best mates over from Australia and they were not far from that try.”

He has now notched 30 tries this season, one more than Chris Riley, currently making him Warrington’s highest try scorer in the Super League era.

The previous best of 28 was set by Toa Kohe-Love in 1999.

“I’ve not had any stick from Chris and I’m not too worried about that,” said the former Penrith and Manly flyer. “I hope he gets the record this year, It would be good for a Warrington lad to have it.”
