RICHIE Myler said he ‘put a brave face on’ at Wembley on Saturday.
The England scrum half who was delighted with the team’s win and the part he has played in the cup campaign, was the surprise omission on Saturday “A few tears were shed but I got over it and put a brave face on,” said the 20-year-old, who has scored 20 tries this year since joining Wolves.
Coaching boss Tony Smith said Myler’s defence had been targeted by opposing teams recently but emphasised the youngster still had a good future.
