WOLVES' half back Lee Briers will miss Friday's derby clash with St Helens after failing a fitness test.
The influential playmaker injured his ankle ligaments against Wigan at the Halliwell Jones Stadium almost a month ago.
Young gun Lee Mitchell has returned from dual registration club Leigh Centurions and has taken Briers' place in the squad.
Full back Richie Mathers is included after missing the one game with a groin strain and being 18th man for Saturday's win against Bradford.
