Wolves receive more tickets for Saints clash

2:00pm Monday 15th March 2010

EXTRA tickets are available for fans wanting to see Warrington Wolves' mouthwatering clash with St Helens at Knowsley Road on Friday night.

Wolves sold out of their initial allocation of 3,000 tickets and have currently sold 500 of the extra 2,000 tickets granted them by Saints.

It appears Wolves will have their biggest following behind them of the modern era as the team seek their first and only Super League win at the 120-year-old ground.

Wolves have lost all 15 Super League games played at Knowsley Road since 1996 and Saints move into their new home next season.

Warrington chiefs are urging all supporters who wish to be at the game to buy their tickets quickly in order to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are on sale in Wolfware, on 0871 622 1879 or at warringtonwolves.com.

Support for Wolves has gone through the roof this season, with new regular fans on board after the side's Challenge Cup Final success at Wembley last August.

Wolves have already had three 11,000+ home attendances this season, overall 36 per cent higher than the same stage last season.

Tony Smith, Wolves' head of coaching and rugby, said: “A big thank you to all fans for your fantastic support so far this season.

"This helps to create a great atmosphere and really lifts the players going into a game.”
