GROWING excitement on the terraces is giving Wolves players an extra boost in games according to captain Adrian Morley.
Last week's attendance of 11,113 against Celtic Crusaders was more than 3,000 up on the equivalent fixture last year and Morley says it has not gone unnoticed by the players.
He said: "You expect to get big crowds against teams like Wigan but games against Harlequins and Crusaders you don't usually get as many going.
"I am delighted about the attendances and when you walk out you get a real buzz seeing so many people there to support you – it means a lot.
"When you're playing on the pitch it makes a big difference having people cheering you on and we all appreciate the support we are getting this season – it has been absolutely fantastic."
Morley believes the large attendances, aided by last season's Challenge Cup glory, are a major factor in Wolves' near perfect start to the season.
He said: “I think it has certainly helped us to achieve the performances on the pitch.
"It is something all the players are aware of and we want to repay that faith and bring more silverware to the club."
Wolves entertain Bradford Bulls on Saturday, a club Morley won the Grand Final with during his spell there in 2005.
And with another sell-out crowd expected, Morley is keen to show the Wolves faithful that he can add more honours to his illustrious career.
He said: "I only played six games for Bradford so it's difficult to really compare what we are building here with that team.
"We have a young team that is getting better all the time and is hungry for success.
"We are certainly going in the right direction and we have had a good start.
“There’s no reason why we can’t bring more major silverware to the club this season.”
