WOLVES’ young prop Mike Cooper has joined Super League rivals Castleford Tigers on a month-long loan deal.
The former Squadbuilder and Academy player will join Tigers with immediate effect, to help the Castleford club combat their long injury list.
The move will also allow the 21-year-old, who played in Wolves’ Challenge Cup victory at Wembley, to gain some regular Super League experience.
Cooper will spend the entire month at Castleford and will only return after the contract is complete.
This is different to the dual registration contracts signed by Tyrone McCarthy, Matty Blythe and Lee Mitchell, which allow them to return from loan club Leigh Centurions and play for Wolves at short notice.
