CUP DRAW LIVE: Wolves boss Tony Smith's reaction to the Challenge Cup draw

8:06pm Monday 8th March 2010

WOLVES coach Tony Smith has revealed his thoughts on facing Championship club Featherstone Rovers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup.

Wolves faced Featherstone in the fifth round of last year's Cup and Smith hopes his players can achieve the same result.

He said: "I wouldn't say I was happy with the draw.

"If you are going to win trophies you have to play the big sides at some stage and there are plenty of teams who can compete for this trophy.

"A lot of teams can be pretty tricky to face and Featherstone are one of those teams.

"They are one of the favourites in the division below us and they are a solid team who are well coached.

"We faced them at their place last year and now we get to face them at our place, which I am happy about.

"They will be tricky and in any cup game there could potentially be an upset as there is a special feeling in the cup which can inspire people.

"We gave them a lot of respect last year and we'll do the same this year.

"We'll prepare well and do our homework to be ready for that match and we'll treat them with the respect they deserve."
