PAUL Wood is in Jimmy Lowes’ 19-man Warrington Wolves squad preparing to tackle St Helens at their Knowsley Road ground on Saturday at 7pm.
Wood, who has not figured in the first team since the home win against Catalans Dragons in March, could be the man that Lowes elects to include in his match night 17 to replace Louis Anderson, who broke his arm in Wolves’ 22-12 defeat of Leeds Rhinos on Saturday.
Wood has played two comeback games with the reserves after recovering from recurring should trouble but Lowes has other options to replace Anderson in the 17, with Andy Bracek and Matty Blythe also named in the initial squad.
Wolves 19: Chris Hicks, Martin Gleeson, Matt King, Kevin Penny, Lee Briers, Michael Monaghan, Adrian Morley, Jon Clarke, Paul Rauhihi, Ben Westwood, Rob Parker, Paul Wood, Simon Grix, Chris Riley, Andrew Bracek, Ben Harrison, Mike Cooper, Lee Mitchell, Matty Blythe.
