RHYS Evans says his future will “take care of itself” as he comes to the end of his Wolves contract.

The 24-year-old, who relocated from south Wales to join Wolves on a scholarship alongside brother Ben, is one of several players whose deal expires at the end of the current season.

However, the Wales international says he is putting talk of his future to one side and is concentrating on matters on the pitch.

“You always want to play well but it gives it more significance when your contract is up,” he said.

“I’m not really focusing on it at the moment. I just want to play week in week out and my future will take care of itself.

“I think I was a bit up and down for the first few weeks of the season but I feel like I’m coming into some form now.

“The chance has come about with injuries for me over Easter and I feel like I’ve done OK.

“I wanted to put a marker down and hopefully it’s enough for me to stay in the team.”

This is Evans’ first season at the club without his brother after Ben joined Championship side London Broncos during the off-season.

The outside back admits not seeing his brother daily has been an adjustment but is happy to see him making a name for himself elsewhere.

“I’d moved out about a year ago so I hadn’t been living with him but it still feels a bit strange,” he said.

“He’s doing well down in London, I’m going to go down and watch him this weekend.

“The main thing is he’s playing and making the most of it.”
