IN a few of our pictures from Wolves’ pre-season training camp in Tenerife, you may have noticed the players wearing what appear to be crop tops!

Indeed, several of you have commented asking what they are, so we thought we’d get some answers.

It turns out the crop top lookalikes are indeed GPS trackers worn by the lads during all matches and training sessions.

They are used by the sports science team at The Wire to determine not only how far a player has travelled, but for measuring acceleration and deceleration.

When all the data is gathered, they can tell which players are performing in the “sweet spot” zone of optimal performance.

We hope this clears everything up!
