BRISBANE Broncos pair Adam Blair and Jordan Kahu have expressed their excitement at facing Wolves in the upcoming World Club Series.

Wayne Bennett’s side travel to England to face The Wire at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday, February 18, kick off 8pm.

The New Zealand international pair, who both represented the Kiwis on English shores in the recent Four Nations, are expected to feature and Kahu admits to have not seen much of Tony Smith’s men.

“The Super League games are on at funny times in Australia so I’ve not had much chance to see what they are about,” the full-back said.

“You hear things though and any side that competes for three trophies is one to take seriously.

“We’ll have a break now but it’s a trip all the Brisbane boys are looking forward to.”

Front row enforcer Blair is one of the best-known names in the Broncos side, along with Australian internationals Darius Boyd and Sam Thaiday.

“I always enjoy playing in England. It’s tough being away from your family but you have your second family in your teammates,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to spending some time with the family now but I’ll be ready to rip in for the World Club Series.

“People knock it but I think we’ll be better prepared for the season because of playing a high-intensity game against a good English Super League side.”

Tickets for Wolves’ clash with the Broncos are on sale now on the Warrington Wolves website, in the official club store or by calling 01925 248888.
