THREE community groups were celebrating after sharing £108,446 in grants from an environmental group.
Runcorn Hill Local Nature Reserve received £50,000 to provide new all-weather, fully accessible paths for a cove walk trail.
Wicksten Drive Christian Centre has been awarded £36,676 for essential improvements to their community centre, including refurbishment of their toilet and kitchen.
Murdishaw Community Centre has won £10,885 to create an outdoor events area, planting and graphics.
The money is generated by Waste Recycling Group Ltd landfill operations.
Richard Smith, project manager, said: "We are really please we have been able to get involved in excellent projects and are actively seeking more applications for community projects in Halton."
The next deadline for applications is July 18.
Community groups are encouraged to submit applications for between £2,000 and £50,000 for capital projects throughout 2008.
