SUPER chef Shane Guildford showed his cooking skills again after landing a special prize at a high profile awards dinner.
Shane, a chef lecturer at South Cheshire College, received the 'Best Senior' award for his performance in the Welsh National Culinary Championships in February.
He competed in the three day event along with hospitality and catering student Thomas Orme at Llandrillo College, North Wales.
Thomas landed a silver award in the 'Welsh Lamb Dish' category while Shane tasted success by winning the gold medal in the 'Open Two Course Lunch' competition and the 'Best in the Class' award.
Shane was invited back to a prize-giving dinner at The Imperial Hotel in Llandudno to celebrate his success last week.
At the dinner, prepared by the Welsh National Culinary team, he collected the second half of his prize for winning 'Best in Class' in February and the 'Best Senior' award.
Shane, 33, of Whitchurch, landed a Villeroy and Boch commemorative plate as a prize which is now proudly on display in the College kitchens.
Shane said: "I knew that I'd be picking up the 'Best in Class' award but the 'Best Senior' prize was a complete surprise so I'm over the moon.
"It was recognition for my performance in the championships overall which was a fantastic experience.
