Man attacked at campus bar

POLICE are investigating a late-night assault at the bar at the Alsager campus of Manchester Metropolitan University.
The assault happened just after 1am yesterday, Thursday, and a 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries.
He is in hospital, and his condition is described as "stable but serious."
A police spokesman said one person was in custody in connection with the incident.
