NEWSNIGHT is coming to Crewe and Nantwich to host a special edition from the constituency two days before next week's by-election.

The special programme will be filmed at The Crewe Hall Hotel, Weston Road on Tuesday May 20 at 8pm.

It will be hosted by Jeremy Paxman alongside a panel of senior politicians and an audience of voters from the constituency.

There are no longer any places left to join the studio audience, however, people can go onto a reserve list with a chance to participate.

Those interested should get in touch for more details by emailing Natasha.Mardikar@bbc.co.uk or by calling 0208 624 8200 and leaving a message with their contact details so that the team can call them back.

The new & improved budget by A Darling is just a political bribe for votes next Thursday. If New Labour wanted to help people like my husband & brother they would just have re-instated the 10p tax band. My mother comes from Barthomley and she doesn't believe McBroon and company either.

Pat,

I think its obvious to nearly everyone now that the bribe was more about saving Brown's job than actually doing anything to help real people.

What is really sickening is that because the £2.7bn was borrowed money, Darling & Brown have actually given us a tax RISE, not a cut. They haven't given us our money back (they've kept that), but simply given us new borrowed money that we will ALL have to pay back in the near future.

I don't know about you, but I feel even poorer than I did on Monday. Thanks Labour.
