WHEN former channel swimmer Sunny Lowry died earlier this year, the Warrington Guardian was inundated with tributes and memories of her life.
As well as becoming one of the first people to swim the English Channel Sunny, also known as Sunny Anderson, was known to aspiring swimmers across the town.
Working at Warrington Baths with husband, Bill, she taught generations of youngsters to swim.
Niece, Anne Signol, passed on her unique collection of photographs of the 96-year-old's life to the Warrington Guardian and we are using a selection this week.
The pictures have now been passed on to experts at Warrington Museum where they will be added to their collection.
