A £1,000 REWARD has been put up after two rottweilers were stolen from a farm off Delph Lane, Winwick.
Owner Hazell Holton is appealing for the guard dogs’ safe return but fears the pedigrees may have been snatched to be used in dog-fighting.
Desil, aged 18 months, was taken on February 1 before five-year-old Max was abducted last Tuesday.
It is thought the dogs must have been captured using a catchpole before their chains were cut.
Hazell said: “We are devastated and have got no idea who would do this.
“Two were taken last year and if they can take Max they can steal any dog because he would be vicious around strangers.
“They wouldn’t behave with anyone else and are not good pets.
“We don’t want them getting hurt and hope somebody has seen something.”
