TABLE football proved to be one of the more unusual events to take place for National Library Day.
On Saturday children at Padgate Library on Insall Road enjoyed a talk from author Tom Palmer, whose books Scrum Out and Own Goal are aimed at encouraging youngsters to read.
They then battled it out for first place in a table football tournament.
