Fourteen-year-old boy has jaw broken in Lymm

A 14-year-old boy had his jaw broken during an attack on Whitbarrow Road on Friday.

The teenager was walking with a friend at 7pm and when they reached the junction with the Trans Pennine trail they were approached by a woman and two men.

One of the men, wearing a balaclava, then punched the victim in the face.

DC Rob Horton called the incident a ‘nasty assault’.

Anyone with information can call police on 101.

utter scum, just wandering round the parks in a balaclava just waiting to smack someone!! This town is really going to the pitts!!

Some idiots out there. Hope the lad is recovering well.. Strange crime. People wearing balaclavas on purpose to commit a crime.. Thought that stuff went out in the 80's!

What's this 3, 4 of these mindless assaults in the past 4 weeks that have resulted in serious injury?? And what are our local constabulary doing about it other than claiming "this type of crime is very rare"??? Some of them seem to be too busy dealing drugs to be serving their community... Warrington Police are an utter waste of space.
