Paint the town red for the day

A CHARITY is urging people to support the fight against heart disease after statistics found 278 people on average die from the condition in the town every year.

British Heart Foundation wants Warrington to go red on February 24 to support their campaign during National Heart Month and raise vital funds by paying £1 to wear red.

Shirley McNally, fundraising and volunteer manager in Cheshire, said: “We need to raise vital funds in Cheshire to help care for people with heart disease, to support their families, to campaign on their behalf and to fund pioneering research to save lives.”
