THE Liberal Democrats have kept hold of the Poulton North seat on Warrington Borough Council in a dramatic by-election.
Sandra Bradshaw won by 43 votes from the Labour candidate Billy Lines-Rowlands.
The Conservative candidate was third, Mark Chapman, while James Ashington was fourth for UKIP.
Clr Bradshaw will have to stand again when the seat comes up for election in May.
She takes over from Colin Oliver who died in September.

The turnout on the day was 19.78 per cent.
