Detectives hunt for armed intruders


DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after armed intruders left their victim with extensive bruising after they burgled their house on Alder Lane, Orford.

At about 11.30pm on Friday, September 3, four men, one armed with a cosh, forced open the front door.

Once inside they went upstairs to the victim's bedroom where they assaulted him by punching him and hitting him with the cosh.

They then stole cash from the house, before escaping on foot.

The 55-year-old victim was left with extensive facial bruising and soreness.

The offenders are described as follows: Male one was black, about 5'11" tall, of stocky build, wearing a black coat with the hood up and a scarf around his face.

Male two was white, about 5'10" tall, of stocky build, wearing a black coat with the hood up and also with a scarf around his face.

Male three was white, stocky build, wearing dark clothing, and he also obscured his face with a scarf.

We do not have a description of the forth male.
