Can you spare a couple of hours to support a busy main reception?
The Gateway brings together a large number of voluntary and community sector organsiations under one roof, for example: Citizens Advice Bureau, Warrington Housing Association, Age Concern, Warrington CVS, Warrington ARC, Warrington Collegiate and MacIntyre. These organisations provide help, advice, support and learning opportunities to people from the town and wider region.
The Gateway is offering opportunities for volunteering to help people back in to work by developing skills needed to get back into paid employment.
This will be a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing ones, make new friends and make a difference to people using the services in the Gateway. There are no restrictions on who can apply to be a volunteer; the Gateway welcomes applications from all people regardless of age, ethnic background, social background, educational attainment and gender or lifestyle choice.
There are a number of roles, including answering the telephone and directing calls, taking meeting room bookings, ensuring that information displays are up to date, meeting and greeting visitors, co-ordinating the booking of IT equipment and helping with the set up of equipment for any events in the building.
If you are interested and want to find out more please contact Patricia Meakin or Annemarie Ryan at the Gateway 246800.
Alternatively you can write to us at the Gateway, 89 Sankey Street, Warrington. WA1 1SR.
