TWO Orford schoolgirls have teamed up to raise money for a poverty stricken area of Pakistan.
Rebecca Cartledge and Kirsty Higginson, both aged 12, of Clive Avenue, Orford wanted to helped raise funds for the people of Rawalpindi, so they set about organising a number of events.
Rebecca's grandfather's cousin, a Mill Hill priest, Father John Nevin, has been working as a missionary in Pakistan for 40 years.
So far the girls, who both attend St Gregory's RC High School in Westbrook, have raised £60 through cake selling and a car boot sale.
The money will go towards completing a social centre and church in the area.
