THREE Warriors of Warrington swimmers secured medals in the Scottish Age Group and Youth Nationals in Glasgow.

Jonathan Gatley struck gold in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 400m individual medley, as well as taking silver in the 200m individual medley.

Tim Almond won the 100m and 200m breaststroke, and finished second in the 400m medley and third in the 200m medley.

Matthew Verdon took gold in the 100m backstroke, while in total half of Warriors' 20 competitors earned top 10 positions in their events. For more results see the glance guide.

The club gained 13 top six finishes at the Retford Graded Meet at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Amy Cliffe, 13, won a 'speeding ticket' after knocking two seconds off her entry time in the 100m backstroke.

Hannah Williamson, 12, won gold in the 50m freestyle and silver in the 100m breaststroke.

Nichole Haworth, 13, secured silver in the 50m fly and 50m freestyle, as well as bronze in the 100m backstroke and 200m medley. Yian Smith, 13, won silver in the 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 200m medley.

Alice Williamson, 11, swum personal bests in the 50m freestyle and the 100m breaststroke, while Lauren Royle improved her best time in the 200m freestyle by 16 seconds.
