RICHARD Green hit an unbeaten century to lead Grappenhall to a five-wicket win at home to fellow mid-table side Sale on Saturday.
Sale could only muster a modest 188 for 8, with R Hudd recording figures of 4 for 45, before Green struck 119 to pave the way for Grappenhall, who reached the target for the loss of five wickets.
A heavily depleted second team could not register a double for the club though as they were beaten by nine wickets by their Sale counterparts. Johnny Worley amassed 44 as Grappenhall finished on a 162 for 6, but Sale rode an early storm to reach the total for the loss of only one wicket.
Grappenhall's seconds are at home to Bollington this weekend.
