Inserted on the usual batting wicket at Booth's Park, Toft's Gwyn Williams and Paul Bertenshaw restricted the visitors to 79 for three off the first 32 overs.
However, impressive improvisation, especially by Moores (62 no), led to a Macclesfield declaration at 194 for five at exactly the half-way stage.
In spite of being 42 for two going into the 20th over, an excellent all round team batting performance kept Toft almost up with the demanding run rate.
But, at the death, tight bowling by Moores (3-71 off 14) left the home side requiring 13 to win from the last over with old heads Brian Coutts and Bertenshaw at the wicket.
With nerves jangling on both sides, Coutts, having worked six off the first three balls of the over, smashed the fourth into the cow field over midwicket.
Snicking a four through the slips of the penultimate ball, the win was dramatically secured.
