More than a dozen plants and shrubs were taken from the churchyard garden and the St George flag was stolen from the pole.
Police believe they may have been stolen to be re-sold.
"The robbers do not seem to understand that the plants are gifts from people to the glory of God and in memory of the departed," said Clr Bob Ingham.
"How could anyone do a thing like that?"
The plants have now been replaced by villagers.
