PREGNANT mum Tracey Stuttard and her two children were injured in an horrific head on road smash between Congleton and Biddulph.
Tracey, from Lawton Street, Biddulph, suffered a broken breastbone when the white Vauxhall Cavalier driven by her husband was in collision with a two-litre Alpha Romeo.
Front seat passenger Tracey also injured her foot in the crash, and she and her children, Jodie, aged seven, and Chaini, aged eight, back seat passengers, also suffered seat belt injuries.
Her common-law husband, Nigel Daly, aged 31, suffered whiplash injuries in the accident, which happened at 8.40pm on Friday on the A527 Biddulph to Congleton road at Whitemoor.
The 21-year-old Macclesfield driver of the Alpha Romeo was this week "stable'' at the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary, where he was being treated for internal injuries thought at first to be life-threatening.
The accident scene was not cleared until 3am, when the road was reopened. Police are appealing for witnesses to ring 01785 235045.
