IN reply to the letter from Disgusted UK Citizen, I think a number of points should be raised.

As long as you are going about your peaceful business, I don't see how anyone can object. The last thing Mr. Paisley and Mr. Trimble need is to feed Republican propaganda with a punch up. You might think that the Orange Order marching through a mainly Nationalist/Catholic area is offensive, but would you object to the Transport and General Workers' Union marching through a posh Tory area?

I think the Disgusted UK Citizen has not grasped the reality of the situation regarding the so-called peace process. There never was and never will be a peace process. It should be apparent to any reasonable person that even if the Provisional Irish Republican Army was to sit down and sign some agreement, there would be a split between the hawks and the doves.PAUL DAVIES, St. Matthews Court, St. Helens.
