V. COWLEY never once mentions what is to replace animals in medical research. I find this rather odd as she seems so convinced that medical progress can continue without animal experimentation.
I think your correspondent should tell us how she intends to replicate a beating heart, blood system, a pair of lungs, a central nervous system and the way these function together.
It is time people with serious illnesses stood up the animal rights lobby. TOM BROMLEY
