MORE opportunities for women to take part in healthy, outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and conservation interests, will be set up as a result of Leisure Choices for Women which takes place at Victoria Park on Sunday.
Gladiators' star, Eunice Huthart, will be making a personal appearance.
The event has been organised by Liz Peters, of Warrington Women's Action Group, Louise Tanner, community project officer with the Mersey Valley Partnership, and Clare Stewart, of Warrington Borough Council Ranger Service.
Said Louise: "Women are often afraid of being out on their own. We are encouraging them to develop a healthier lifestyle by joining existing groups or helping to start up new ones."
The event will include displays of line and tap dancing organised by the Enid Wrigley School of Dance and a balloon race to raise money for St Rocco's.
There will also be break dancing, Tai Chi, aerobics, circus skills, self defence and other attractions, plus a free creche.
