EXCLUSIVE By MIKE HALL

WOLVES chief Alex Murphy has assured fans that the mess surrounding the club's signing of Kiwi Tony Tatupu will be sorted out in the next couple of weeks.

Murphy, who this week blasted Auckland Warriors coach John Monie for trying to block the second rower's move to Wilderspool, says Tatupu will be wearing a Warrington shirt at the start of the next Super League season.

Monie claims Wolves coach John Dorahy held illegal talks with Tatupu before the player was given the go-ahead to leave the Warriors.

Now, Monie says he can go - but not to Warrington.

"We are concerned about people from the other side of the world who are making statements which are totally out of order," says Murphy.

"We have done nothing wrong. Tony has signed a two year deal with us and we will continue to go through all the official channels from here.

"The Warriors are just sick because we have signed him."

And he revealed: "Tony has been on the phone constantly all week and he is all set for coming. He can't wait to get here and is very upset about what is going on.

"He has told John Monie he doesn't want to play there any more and that he wants to join Warrington."
