TWO former Warrington students have been encouraging other youngsters to "join up" during their tour of duty at the Winmarleigh Street careers office, Warrington.

Pte Kirsten Taylor, aged 20, is a former pupil of Sir Thomas Boteler High School. She serves as a military clerk in the Adjutant General's Corps at the NATO joint headquarters of the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps in Rheindahlen, Germany.

Her comrade Pte Leigh Wright, aged 18, is a command clerk in the Operations Headquarters of the Royal Dragoon Guards, based in Hampshire.

Leigh, who used to attend Padgate High School, is a keen sportsman, enjoying football, rugby, basketball and running.

With a GNVQ in Business Studies, Leigh is set to combine his work with travel, adventure and a challenge.
