NEW recruits are needed to help nature, conservation and community projects in Warrington.
The town's Ranger Service organises green activities throughout the year, but relies on volunteers to lend a hand promoting and organising events.
Many parks now have their own groups, who carry out a variety of tasks ranging from tree planting and pruning to organising educational visits and large-scale community events.
Well-established volunteer groups include the Birchwood Forest Park Carnival Committee, which organises the district's two largest community events, the annual carnival and bonfire, and the Orford Park Festival Committee.
To join a committee, or get advice on setting up a group, ring 601617.
