A BRAVE shop assistant was forced to re-live a terrifying ordeal when raiders burst into an off-licence demanding cash.

Suzannea Ali moved to Cellar 5 in Lovely Lane after a frightening experience at the hands of knife-wielding robbers when she worked in a Liverpool store.

Now, she is having to come to terms with being the victim of a second raid, when two men threatened her in a robbery at the Cellar 5 shop.

The men, who had waited until she was alone, ordered her to open the till, but Suzannea stood her ground, praying that someone would come to her aid.

Eventually, one of the raiders leaned over the counter and helped himself to the money, along with Manweb electricity cards.

They also filled a black bin liner with £1,000 worth of cigarettes and then fled into busy Lovely Lane.

Suzannea is now back at work, but she says she lives in fear every minute of the day: "I don't like being here at all, but if I hadn't come back straightaway, I would not have been able to do it," she said.

"Why should these people be allowed to ruin people's lives, their jobs and everything?

"Since the last robbery I haven't been able to go out alone. It breaks you down totally and you lose your trust in people.

"When they entered the shop I was taken right back to the first time it happened. I was hysterical and totally went to pieces. One of them told me to calm down.

"The shop is quite busy and I thought somebody would come in and see them. I lost all idea of time - it just seemed to go on so long.

Detective Constable Derek Lockie, of Warrington CID, says the men made no attempt to disguise their faces.

"The robbery happened in the early evening rush hour and it is likely someone saw them," he said.
