THOUSANDS of people were left without water supplies after a mains pipe burst in Lymm.
North West Water engineers worked round-the-clock to repair the leak, which had sprung in Booths Hill Road.
While many homes were re-connected within a few hours, up to 800 households had to rely on mobile water tankers until the repair was completed in the early hours of Sunday morning.
