POLICE are hunting thieves who escaped with a huge haul of cigarettes from a delivery lorry which was parked in Penketh.
The incident happened shortly after 11.30am yesterday, Tuesday, when a driver, who was making deliveries to the Spar store in Honiton Way, left a white Mercedes wagon briefly.
He returned to find a large quantity of cigarettes missing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident are asked to call PC Steve Daly, at Sankey police station, on 01244 612620.
