A WARRINGTON man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car outside the Saracen's Head on Wilderspool Causeway.
The accident happened on Friday, at 5.20pm, 70 metres south of the junction with Loushers Lane, when a green Ford Mondeo hit the 38-year-old pedestrian.
The man was taken to Warrington Hospital where his condition is described as 'very poorly'.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should call police on 652222 or Warrington Traffic Department on 01244 350 000.
