YOUNG gymnasts from across Northwich have been chosen to represent Cheshire and Merseyside at a regional event.
And the 10 girls from Hartford School of Gymnastics performed well at the North West Club Grade Finals on March 8 and 9.
Grade six out of age saw Victoria Anderson and Chloe Evans help their team to a bronze medal placing while Amy Hood performed five clean routines to take second place overall at grade five.
Amy, together with Katie Johnson, also gained a silver medal for her team's performance.
Grade five also saw Faye Smallwood and Ambia Peacock collect a bronze team medal.
Grade four success came in the form of Stephanie Glover (in age) and Eleanor Owen and Stephanie Dean (out of age) who all collected bronze team medals.
Hartford's greatest success came thanks to a wonderful performance from 11-year-old Ruth Howard who gained a distinction at grade three and came second overall, missing out on first place by just 0.133.
This placing allows Ruth to represent the North West team at the national finals to be held in Kettering on May 3.
Katie Fearon and Hannah Bloor also had reason to celebrate after passing grade three and two respectively.
